Who's MIKA? - Mika & Me

Who’s MIKA?

The origins of MIKA come from a business trip to Tokyo. MIKA was my first Japanese translator- beautiful, poised, and flawless. She helped me discover what an extraordinary place Japan is and how they do many things differently to the way we do in the UK. Within a week, I managed to break my glasses and didn’t have a spare set, so MIKA took me to her local opticians & as we have numerous opticians in our family, I thought I knew what to expect, something like going to the dentist or doctors. I couldn’t have been more wrong! It was fun, noisy, exciting, and much more like going to a fashion store. I picked my frames, and my new prescription glasses with super thin lenses were ready in just 20 minutes. What an experience!

At MIKA & Me, I have tried to bring a little piece of Tokyo to Scotland & offer our customers the similar delight & excitement I experienced on this first trip to Japan. Buying your glasses doesn’t have to be boring. It can be transformative not just in how you look but also how you see; it can be relaxing and it can be enjoyable! Give us a go and we might surprise you.

Our name “MIKA & Me” comes from Japanese: “MIKA” meaning “beautiful” and “Me” meaning “eyes”. For me, MIKA & Me is about my first wonderful adventure to Japan but for you, I hope, it is simply a moment to remember your “beautiful eyes” what they do for us every day.

Did we mention we can update your existing frames for just £70?
