It’s not as scary as it sounds (and it's not a test)! We’ll chat about your health history, test how sharp your vision is, play the classic “which is better, 1 or 2?” (spoiler: there are no wrong answers), check your eye pressure, and peek inside your eyes. The whole thing usually takes 30–60 minutes.

It's pretty simples. In normal circumstances, most adults should come in every 1–2 years. Children, contact lens wearers, and people with conditions like diabetes should visit annually (or more) so we can catch things before they become a “sight” problem. HOWEVER, if you notice a change in your vision, get an infection, or just feel something's not right, you should contact us immediately. You do not have to wait until you are "due" for a new eye test.

Sometimes yes—and the reason we do it is to get a really good look at the back of your eyes. You’ll be sensitive to light and blurry up close so don’t plan to drive for a few hours—pop on your sunglasses, arrange a lunch or bring your chauffeur. Your eyes will thank you later.

Your current prescription glasses, sunglasses or contacts lenses and if possible, a list of medications and any burning questions. Leave your eye makeup at home gents—we want to see you, not your mascara masterpiece.

This is the old fashioned way to measure eye pressure (key for spotting glaucoma). We have a new modern way to do this test and it doesn’t hurt (promise) and there's no puff of air.
